Rwby Volume 4 Chapter 4 Rwby Volume 4 Chapter 4 Family
Just in case you thought that YOUR family unit reunions were weird…
So I'm certain everyone has been waiting on the border of their seat for the by two weeks, just as I take. It's hard having everyone divide up because it gives them limited screen time. Only, we take what nosotros go and wait patiently for next week. So let'south get down to brass revenue enhancement.
Let's offset past asking the question that's on anybody's mind: Who the fuck is Oscar? We know goose egg most him except for the fact that he's the farm boy that randomly appeared in episode 1. And evidently, Ozpin is talking to him through a mirror. (I motherfucking Called Information technology!) I knew he wasn't dead the whole time. So what office will Oscar play in the near future? Who knows. Maybe RNJR will see him later. Possibly Oscar will gear up out on his own with picayune compact mirror Ozpin chirping away the whole fourth dimension. I dunno.
I had a feeling he was somewhat important to the plot, RT wouldn't just shove a random five infinitesimal scene of a kid doing farm stuff in episode ane for zero, I'chiliad simply as curious every bit everyone else where this goes in later episodes…
Every bit for the Xiao Longs, they yet haven't had contact with Reddish since she left. But the practiced news is that Oobleck and Port have managed to survive the fall of Beacon and briefly mention that Qrow was tricked into wearing a skirt in one case as a child. Can we all just agree now that there should exist a whole season dedicated to the origins of squad STRQ? I would love to meet Qrow in a brim. 😛
Anyway, Yang and Taiyang accept a very tense argument in front of the Professors about how she isn't fix for the troubles of the real world. And when Taiyang makes a vicious crack nearly Yang'south lost arm, well, I'm not going to lie, I kept information technology paused for like 10 minutes but so I could freak out. Simply the Xiao Longs have a weird humor, as they both start to laugh.
Yang admits to being afraid that she won't be able to go back to her old self and her prosthesis will human activity equally a crutch in pretending it never happened, which is why she won't put information technology on. Simply, Taiyang and the others give her a talk near how she's afraid now that that she will soon motion past this, which finally gives her the courage to put the prosthesis on in the morning.
On the other side of the globe, RNJR is all the same making their way to the side by side town with Qrow following close behind and killing the Grimm. Apparently, he wasn't being as stealthy equally he hoped, since his long-lost twin sister Raven had no problems finding him. The siblings accept a good former-fashioned, passive aggressive heart to heart, where Qrow calls her out for being a shitty neglectful mother to Yang all those years.
Raven counters with accusations that he abased his existent family and says she'due south now the leader of and has a strict reputation to uphold despite Qrow pointing out that the very people she calls "Family" are "thieves and killers". It's also implied that the Branwen's grew upward exterior of the kingdoms which is most likely why Qrow didn't know the divergence betwixt a kilt and a brim. And it's unclear what exactly the "Relic" is. Is she referring to the Maidens, or something older? But whatever information technology is, Salem is looking for information technology. It's also unclear who the adjacent Spring Maiden is.
I just assumed it was Ruby, what with her glowing eyes, but Qrow said something about Silver Eyed warriors, even so, that's all we take to go with at the moment. So Raven casts another portal and leaves Qrow with more questions than answers which is to say… That's and so Raven!
What does this all mean yous ask? I don't know. At that place's a farm boy, a plucky group of teenagers posing as Huntsmen, a warrior with her proverbial wing clipped, and a gear up of twins with family issues. They might too rename this episode "Family Therapy". Likewise, in that location was no Salem this week and I tin can simply hope that Blake, Lord's day, and Weiss are fairing ameliorate than the others.
Overview:
I liked the episode but about fans in the forums have argued that Yang's recovery happened a bit too fast. While the fashion they approached her recovery was unique, information technology lacked some emotional undertones that would have allow the audience connect with her more. I'd rather take her go through a Gurren Lagann episodes viii-11 arc the way Simon did that lasted most of the flavour. It doesn't take to be super nighttime & bleak only a fun way of showing that, hey, failure is part of human experience and no thing how hard nosotros endeavor to ameliorate ourselves a lot of the time we don't always succeed.
While Blood-red & Weiss were non the full focus again, I was pleased with the much needed "breathing room" that tried to slowly brand sense of what's going on.
Episode 5, endeavor to top this one!
